Mr. Randhir Jaiswal, Consul General of India, NY

Randhir Jaiswal is a career diplomat. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1998. In his over two decades of diplomatic career so far, he has served in Portugal, Cuba, South Africa and at the Permanent Mission of India in New York.

In the middle of 2017, he was deputed to serve the President of India as Joint Secretary managing his international relations portfolio. He serves as Consul General of India in New York from 19 July 2020.

Randhir Jaiswal is passionate about sports, environment, culture, monuments, old cities, and cuisines. He is deeply interested in strategic, sustainable development and public policy issues. He has been part of India’s delegation at various Climate Change Conferences and was the lead negotiator for the G-77 countries at the RIO+20 Conference held in Brazil in 2012.

A proven leader in the biopharmaceutical industry, Sanat joined Merck in November 2009 spearheading the transformation of manufacturing and supply chain to grow and globalize its Vaccine business.

Formerly, he was Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Formerly he was the Walter P. Murphy Professor and Chairman of ECE at Northwestern University. Prior to that, he was professor of ECE at the University of Illinois. In 2000, he founded AccelChip which was sold to Xilinx Inc. in 2006. During 2005-2011, he was founder, Chairman and Chief Scientist of BINACHIP. His research interests are in electronic design automation, and parallel computing, and he is the author of about 350 research papers. He has also supervised 37 Ph.D. students. Banerjee currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cubic Corporation and Software Motor Company. In the past, he has served on Boards for Cray, Inc., the Anita Borg Institute, the Computer Science Board of the National Academy of Engineering and the Technical Advisory Boards of Ambit, Atrenta , Calypto, Cypress, Ingram Micro, and Virsec. He was listed in the FastCompany list of 100 top business leaders in 2009. He is a fellow of the AAAS, ACM and IEEE and a recipient of the 1996 ASEE Terman Award and the 1987 NSF Presidential Young Investigator Award. He received a B.Tech. (President’s Gold Medalist) in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana.

Prior to joining Rockwell Automation, Sujeet led R&D for 12 years at Rockwell Scientific Company in Thousand Oaks, California. There he delivered innovative technology solutions to the company’s commercial and defense businesses for applications such as advanced avionics, industrial automation and semiconductor production.

Previously, he served as the chief operating officer for a successful software start-up company. A strategic leader and engineer with a unique perspective on technology, innovation, and customer needs, Sujeet serves on a number of industry, government, and higher education boards. He is a member of the board of directors of Proto Labs (PRLB). His advisory board service includes the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), FIRST Robotics, Wisconsin Technology Council, University of Wisconsin Research Foundation, and Robert W. Baird Venture Partners. He has also represented the United States as the head of a delegation to Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, a worldwide consortium on manufacturing technology. In 2014, Sujeet was recognized with the Forbes Excellence in Innovation award. He is a recipient of the Rockwell Engineer of the Year, the highest recognition for engineering accomplishment within the company, and the Chairman’s Team Award for the development of a successful product line for the company. Dr. Pallab Chatterjee is an internationally recognized high-tech executive with experience in Corporate General Management, Corporate Governance, Strategy, Technology, Operations, and Outsourcing.  Most recently Dr. Chatterjee retired from Symphony Retail AI where he built the company from $50M to $150M focused on customer intelligence and supply chain solutions for the Grocery industry. He pioneered AI intelligent system CINDE that used conversational insights to deliver powerful root cause insights and predictive/prescriptive actions for grocery retail.

Prior to Symphony Retail, Dr. Chatterjee was a Managing Director and Operating Partner of Symphony Technology Group, a strategic private equity firm that invests and partners in building great software and services company, growing companies not only with capital, but innovation. He was involved in a portfolio of software companies that had near Billion dollar exits with 4-6x return on equity.

Prior to STG, Dr. Chatterjee was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of i2 Technologies, Inc. Under his leadership, i2 launched a new sales execution model coupled with new services lines for the company’s Total Supply Chain Management approach that yielded significant growth for i2. Prior to assuming the CEO role, Dr. Chatterjee was President Solutions Operations at i2. As President of i2’s Solutions Operations, Dr. Chatterjee was responsible for product development, product marketing, and delivery of i2 Technologies’ supply chain management solutions.
Prior to i2, Dr. Chatterjee spent 24 years at Texas Instruments in various executive management positions. Under his leadership as senior vice president of Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer, the Texas Instruments Technology Labs became known as a standard for excellence acknowledged by both academia and industry. He led a Manufacturing Excellence team at TI across 21 factories worldwide and delivered over 1Billion dollars in productivity improvements. As President of TI’s Notebook and Calculator Business TI became the leader in Educational products. He was Global CIO of Texas Instruments and led a SAP and i2 implementation across 56 countries.
A TI senior fellow in 1985, an IEEE fellow in 1986, Dr. Chatterjee received the IEEE J. J. Ebers award in 1986 and was elected to the National Academy of Engineers in 1997.

Debu Chatterjee formed the ML/AI organization within ServiceNow in 2017, when his MLOps company DxContinuum, was acquired by ServiceNow to seed the intelligent automation roadmap for ServiceNow. Fully integrated DxContinuum engine now is the AI platform of ServiceNow.

His enterprise experience spans the areas of machine learning, predictive analytics, metadata services, distributed systems, databases, big data, systems management and fraud detection.

He has a BS from IIT Kharagpur, MS from UNC Chapel Hill, and an MBA from Wharton. He holds 23 patents. He is a technical advisory member at Benhamou Global Ventures, and a member of BOV and GEAB at UNC Chapel Hill, and advisor to IITStartups a valley incubator.
